Rest in Power, Sis Irijah

Greetings Collective,
InI dear Sistren, Sis Irijah, has passed forward. InI feel great sadness at her passing, but great joy still in knowing that she lived her life to the fullness in praise and honor to Haile Selassie I. Her light shone bright to all that knew her and she will continue to shine through the iwah of Haile Selassie I.

Sis Irijah was an instrumental force in the formation of the Word Sound Power Collective. She itinually rallyed for Rastafari Elders welfare before and after the formation of the Collective. She was generous even when times were tough for her. When Sis Irijah's elder, Mama Loi, passed, she ensured that Mama Loi's life and works would live on through her testimony. InI hope to do the same for her.

Sis Irijah has been in the Rastafari trod from ever since. She experienced the full transformative powers of Haile Selassie I and truly became more courageous and larger in outlook. She stood in the fire and was cleansed. She fought for African Liberation with no apology. She didn't seek to justify her place in the movement, but instead sought to live up to the full reality of the trod. Sis Irijah was a true Rastawoman.

InI are proud of her life and accomplishments. May Haile Selassie I grant her family peace and comfort in this time and may InI remember Sis Irijah and be inspired by her journey.

More Ises unto HIM,
Ras Scott
